Can you root Sony Xperia E3 using kingroot?
I rooted my Sony Xperia E3 (D2203) a while ago using Kingroot, which worked flawlessly. Before rooting my device, /system could be accessed, which is how root was installed in the first place.

Why is root access cannot be remounted as RW?
However after rebooting the phone, I now cannot mount /system as rw, as the kernel mounts it as Read-Only and gives me a Operation not permitted error whenever I try to remount it as rw. Apparently the kernel on Sony devices detects root and mounts /system as Read-Only.

Can you mount /system as r/w in the OS? Then you could push the file to the SD card using adb or just normal USB (MTP or Mass Storage depending on the device) and then copy it to the proper location and set permissions using terminal on the device or a root-enabled file manager. Then reboot and it should be there and installed.
Can a root explorer mount a system are / W?
Root Explorer can mount System r/w. I do this once a month to move my Adguard HTTPS cert to System. Still passes SafetyNet, too. This seems to be a major issue in the custom Magisk build for Pixel phones. I’ve seen a few threads about it and even started my own, but as far as I’m aware, there’s no fix.
