Can you straight wire a cooling fan?
Connect one end of the 12-gauge jumper wire to the black ground wire of the fan. Connect the other end of that wire to the engine block or any metal part of the car body. When the wire touches the positive terminal of the battery, the fan should come on.

In a 2-Speed fan clutch, when the fan clutch is disengaged, the fan still rotates at 15-25% of the engine RPM. This fan rotation provides crucial airflow to the engine and draws virtually no horsepower.
