Can you track changes on Google Calendar?
You can track changes to calendars, events, and subscriptions in your Google Calendar audit log. You can also track the email notifications associated with these actions in the audit log. Log entries usually appear within one half-hour of the user action.
When you share your calendar with someone, you can choose how they view your events and if they can make changes like adding or editing events.
Can you see who edited a Google Calendar?
First, go to the “Customize” screen for your calendar, and click on the click the “Data Management” tab. Then click on the “Calendar edit and viewing history”: This will open the Calendar Edit History, which allows you to search for any edits made to the entries in your calendar.
Why can’t I edit shared Google calendar?
Unless the other user is granted editing permissions through your calendar settings, they can not move/delete/edit meetings that you’ve set up on your own calendar. The user that would like to edit the event will need to have access to the calendar it was originally scheduled on.
Step 1: In the main Google Calendar screen, you will see an area called “My Calendars” and usually it has only a few items there. But if you have shared calendars, they will show up here, also. As you hover over the specific calendar, three vertical dots (red circle #1) will appear and you click there.
Can you tell when something was added to Google Calendar?
Once you’ve found your event look for the two lines titled CREATED and LAST-MODIFIED lines which come up before the SUMMARY or DESCRIPTION lines. These show the dates when the event was created and last modified (weird huh!) in YYYYMMDD and using Greenwich Mean Time.
Do you get email notifications from Google Calendar?
Google Calendar won’t send updates to guests of past events. Google Calendar users can change their email notification settings. Guests who turn off notifications won’t get invitations or updates you send. Google Calendar always sends notification emails to guests who don’t use Google Calendar.
What happens if Google Calendar is not shared?
All provided solutions do not take into account one thing: if the person who is using the shared google calendar (not the owner) adds a new event and sets up a notification, this notification won’t be present in the owner calendar. If you add new users to the group, give them the calendar address so they can add it. Sign in with your G Suite administrator account and open Google Calendar. Under My calendars, find the shared calendar. Point to the shared calendar and click More Settings and sharing.
Non-owners should not be able to even put an event on the calendar, and yet somehow they are. So with all the back story out of the way, the main person in charge of the calendar would like a notification every time an event is created or modified on the shared calendar – it can be an email or a popup.
