Wi-Fi Direct allows devices to connect to each other directly through Wi-Fi. While Wi-Fi Tethering makes your phone a Wi-Fi router. It makes your phone a Wi-Fi router and allows you to share your phone’s Internet connection with other Wi-Fi devices.
