Do USB to LAN adapters work?
Connecting a USB-only modem to an Ethernet-only network device does not work. USB-to-Ethernet adapter cables exist that join a USB port to an RJ-45 Ethernet port. First of all take a note of the name of your network adapter if it is listed in the Device Manager . To see if it is listed, Hold the Windows Key and Press R. Type hdwwiz.cpl and click OK.
