Almost all WordPress themes support dropdown menus by default. However, some themes may not have proper menu support. And, when used in forms and for attribute selection, dropdown boxes prevent users from entering erroneous data, since they only show legal choices.
Can Screen readers read dropdown menus?
Screen reader navigation The screen reader says there is a drop-down menu, and vocalizes the drop-down state (open or closed). Press the Enter key. The menu opens, the first item is selected. This element is automatically vocalized by the screen reader.

I have installed a theme on WordPress added pages, created a custom menu called Primary Nav. I have then assigned this as my Primary Menu. I have child pages and the menu looks like this.
What to do if bootstrap dropdown is not working?
Edit: Apparently adding defer to the script tag will also break all the Bootstrap goodies. Copy/paste the CSS link followed by the JS link from the bootstrap site here. Then the dropdown should work.
