Draft items are not crawled in SharePoint > Well this is expected behaviour. It only crawls the major versions of the file. Select the option Any user who can read items. This will allow all users to see draft items including the crawling account.

If a user can see information about search results directly on the search results page, this will save them the trouble of having to click and open each item to see what it’s about.
The problem I am having is that the people who should review the documents don’t (and shouldn’t) have the Edit permissions, so they can’t view the drafts they are supposed to review. Is there a way to Share drafts with them (in SharePoint) without giving them Edit permissions or only giving them temporary permissions on a per-document basis?
Can a group view a draft of a document?
That being said, if using a group will work to allow certain users to view drafts with Draft Item Security on, I will gladly accept that as a solution. I tried using the Share feature and selecting Can Edit, but that didn’t allow them to see the document I was linking them to.
How to make draft items show in search results?

After adding to approver group , reset the index and do a full crawl. This will allow draft items to be visible in the search results.
