How are multiline text input fields displayed in SharePoint?
The mode of the text input controls are set to multiline. But when I fill out the form and submit it, the values of the multiline text fields are displayed as a single line in the Sharepoint list. However when I create a new item in the Sharepoint list itself, the values are correctly displayed as multiline.

I’d prefer to not have to always create a canvas app and would like to simply customize the SharePoint form which SHOULD be simpler and quicker, but this option has become more time consuming than a canvas app due to trying to troubleshoot this not working.
