How can I add a search layout to a change set?

Can you add search layouts to standard sobjects?
After some quick research I found that it’s currently impossible to add Search Layouts for Standard sObjects (like Account, Contact, etc). I believe they can be added for custom objects (it looks like they’re brought over with the object definition itself), but I haven’t checked for sure.

When to include custom fields in search layouts?
When a Standard Object in Salesforce is added with custom fields then we want to display those custom fields in the Search layouts as well as in the page layouts. In Such cases it becomes must that we are able to add custom fields in the search layouts and the Search layouts in the Package.
How to change the search layout in Salesforce?

One has to click through multiple pages of custom fields in an environment where there are a lot of custom fields. One can sort the fields by their custom object. This groups the fields and you can find them if you click through enough pages then view more records to get them all on the same page to select for the Change Set.
