How do I choose my number to text on Iphone?
To switch numbers before sending a message, follow the instructions below.
- From the Home screen, tap Messages .
- Tap the Compose icon.
- Enter your contact’s name.
- Tap the current mobile number (e.g., Primary).
- Tap the mobile number you want to use (e.g., Use Primary, Use Secondary, etc.).
Why are my text messages going to a different number?
This issue usually arises when a customer has just ported in from a different provider. Each Skinny SIM card is provisioned to have an assigned mobile number that starts with 0204. In some cases, the number brought over does not update the device and therefore sending out text messages using the assigned 0204 number.
Why is my iMessage a different number?
If your iMessages are still being sent from your temporary number, check if your settings are updated. Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure the correct mobile number is displayed under the ‘START NEW CONVERSATIONS FROM’ section. In SIM contacts you can’t able to add more numbers and datas like email etc., and it only shows name and number. Only in phone contacts you can able to add more numbers by tapping ‘+’ symbol.
