How do I convert my CPL to EASA CPL?
In order for you to be eligible for the EASA Conversion Career Program you need to have a valid ICAO CPL and the following:
- 150 hours total time.
- 80 hours of dual instruction.
- 70 hours PIC if you did your training as a part of an integrated program or 100 hours PIC if you did your training as a part of a modular program.

- Pass an EASA ICAO English language proficiency test.
- Pass a skill test for the ATPL(A) licence in your own aircraft type/FFS*.
How do I go from Atpl to CPL?
To convert an ICAO CPL(A) to an EASA ATPL(A) you will need 1500 hours flight time, including:
- 500 hours on multi-pilot aircraft;
- 250 hours pilot in command (or 500 hours pilot on command under supervision; or 70 hours pilot in command and 180 hours pilot in command under supervision);
- 200 hours cross country;
How many times can you fail an ATPL exam?
If you fail to complete all exams within the 18 months deadline or if you fail any exams more the 4 times or need more than 6 sittings – all your exams (even those you have passed) become invalid and you have to start all over again.
