To create a view:
- Go to the list or library where you want to create a view, click the List or Library tab, and then click Create View.
- On the Settings page, choose a view type.
- In the View Name box, type the name for your view.
By enabling one feature in SharePoint Online, we can have a bit more insights on who had seen files. Assuming you have the correct permissions (Site Owner), you can navigate to Site Settings >> Manage Site Features (under Site Actions), and enable the SharePoint Viewers feature.
How do I create a new view in SharePoint?
Use Up/Down Arrow keys to increase or decrease volume. To create this specific custom view, click the “All Documents” drop-down in the top right-hand corner, and select “Save As.” Enter a name for this custom view. You might want to call it “Excel Documents.” Select the new view you created, and click “Edit current view.”

At the bottom of the Settings page, you’ll see the views. Click on Create View: You now have templates to choose from. Standard View is similar to the All Documents view you get with the app. Datasheet View displays data in the Quick Edit view. Calendar View is for items that have start and end dates.
How to create a custom view of a document library?
If so, see Create a view. On the heading bar of the document library page, click + or + Add column. Click Show/hide columns at the bottom of the list. In the Edit view columns pane, select a column from the list and either drag and drop or use the up or down arrows to change the order in which the columns will appear.
