Why is my render so bright in blender?
Your rendering might be too bright/dark, which is caused because we don’t know the absolute scale of the lighting, so this must be set manually. To fix, adjust the light intensity (Properties->World tab, adjust “Strength” setting under “Color” accordingly).
Does HDRI work on Eevee?
1 Answer. First, the reason for the lighting difference is that in the scene you provided, everything is lit by a World HDRI only. Eevee by default can only produce shadows from Light objects, so even if you turn the respectable options on, there won’t be any indirect shadows visible.

Why does the HDR not show through the glass?
But I can’t seem to find out why the HDR doesn’t show through the glass. The only thing I could do was remove reflectivity from the glass material to get the background to show. I will mention one thing, though. Your glass panes appear to have a thickness of zero, which may cause some rendering issues down the line.
