How do I find my go Case ID?
To use this feature you have to find the Case ID in your Desk.com.
- Go to All Cases tab.
- Select detailed view.
- Find Case ID.
What is Case ID?
The Case ID is the representation of a case. It is unique and therefore serves to uniquely identify the case. The Case ID often consists of a combination of letters and numbers. Related terms: Case, Process Mining, Event, Event-Logs.
Is case number unique Salesforce?
Yes, they are unique. You can always copy the 18 character ID and paste in URL after like this: http://instance.salesforce.com/{ID}. And you will go to record since they are globally unique.

@Jatin I guess you can have numerous case number in an email when you are discussing with client on related cases, this will confuse Email-to-case functionality if it recieves such an email, and which case does it link it to? Thereby safer to go by case REF, and also helps when merging cases as well. Please expose the ThreadID directly!
What are the numbers on a diversity case ID?
Generally, this number has 3 letters followed by 9 or 10 numbers (for example, ABC123456789). If you are a Diversity Visa Immigrant, however, your DOS Case ID has 4 numbers followed by 2 letters and then again 5 more numbers (for example, 1234ZY12345).
