Also, if I go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive — it shows my phone number, new Apple ID email address, and STILL shows the old email address also as an @icloud.com account. Same thing on FaceTime. I have signed out and back in to almost everything I can think ok with the new Apple ID but those few things still show up as an @icloud.com.
What does it mean when it says Apple ID found?
If it comes back and says “Apple ID Found” showing that old email address as the Apple ID, then that means it is a separate ID, and you will have to supply the passcode to that ID in order to get the purchases downloaded. If it comes up with the new ID as your Apple ID, then post back and we will do some more troubleshooting.
