How do I install a basemap?

Installation

Install pre-requisite requirements.
Untar the basemap version X.Y.Z source tar.
Install the GEOS library.
cd back to the top level basemap directory (basemap-X.Y.Z) and run the usual python setup.py install .
To test, cd to the examples directory and run python simpletest.py .

What is Proj_lib?

“PROJ_LIB” is an environment variable which keeps the path of directory of proj4. So if you are using anaconda then do open.
