Follow the below steps very carefully.
- Go to Offer Letter Template Document Library.
- From New, Click on Word document.
- Click on Open in Desktop App.
- From Pop Up, click on Open Word button.
- Type your content.
- To add the Quick Parts, Go to the Insert > Quick Parts > Document Property.
- Save the file and close the file.
To add a content type to a list or library
- Go to the settings for the list or library.
- Under Content Types, select Add from existing site content types.
- To choose the group of site content types you want to select from the Select Site content types from list, select the arrow.
How do you create external data in Word?

How do you insert a field in a Word document?
To insert a built-in field using the Field dialog box: Navigate to the location in the Word document where you want to insert a field. Click the Insert tab in the Ribbon and then click Quick Parts in the Text group. A drop-down menu appears. Select Field. A dialog box appears.
Under Add a column to show each of these additional fields, click Select all fields or select one or more specific field names, such as BusinessName and BusinessPhone. In the SharePoint document library, click Library > Library Settings. Under General Settings, click Advanced settings.
How to add a library to a list?
If the list or library is not already open, on the Quick Launch, select its name. If the name of your list or library does not appear, select Settings , select Site Content, and then select the name of your list or library. On the ribbon, select List or Library.
