How do I report a drone?
If you witness a drone not following FAA rules, you may reach out to your local FAA flight standards district office. The FAA’s investigators may be able to investigate your report and follow up with the drone operator. Unauthorized drone operators may be subject to penalties and criminal charges.
Can I complain about a drone?
If you have any concerns about unmanned aircraft being used in your area, either from a safety or privacy perspective, contact your local police on 101. The Police often have greater resources, response times and powers of investigation than the CAA.

How often are UAS sightings reported to the FAA?
Reports of unmanned aircraft (UAS) sightings from pilots, citizens and law enforcement have increased dramatically over the past two years. The FAA now receives more than 100 such reports each month. The agency wants to send out a clear message that operating drones around airplanes, helicopters and airports is dangerous and illegal.
