Is there a way to turn off all notifications except calls?
To do this, go into the Android settings and tap on Sound (note that it may be called slightly differently). Inside, tap on Do not disturb, to access the mode options and then on Calls. This is the recommended way to mute all sounds except calls on an Android phone, but not the only one.
Can you turn off notifications for people not in your contacts?
It seems like I can turn off notifications for people not in my contacts, but really I just want to turn them off for this one specific person. Leave them in contacts rather than remove, but set all their ringtones/messages sounds to a silent ringtone.
How do you unselect the silence feature on iPhone?
When you go to the DND screen in settings the next very frustrating thing is that the only options you have are 1) Always or 2) Only while iPhone is locked. Seeiing this surely also raised the blood pressure even higher as in usual iPhone fashion they don’t provide me with the option I want, which is to never silence the phone.

Can you allow calls on do not disturb?
The closest thing I see is allowing calls from everyone on do not disturb but that will allow messages to ring as well. Actually, Do Not Disturb is indeed your solution as it blocks ALL notifications EXCEPT the calls which you specifically allow. It will block message notifications.
