- Make sure you have a good UV map on your model.
- Add a texture node on your material with the image you want to bake to (this should be a 2048×2048 image in most cases)
- Go to the baking panel in Blender and select Diffuse Color (for diffuse materials like wood, stone, etc.)
- Hit bake then save your image.
