How do I disable or hide the “Export to Excel” button in modern SharePoint Online lists?…Option 1: Create a Custom Permission Level without Client Integration Features
- Click on Settings Gear >> Choose the “Site Permissions” link.
- “Advanced permissions settings.” >> Click on “Permission Levels” from the ribbon.
To export Graphical Summary View to Excel:
- Open your Survey List via Internet Explorer.
- Right-click on any free space and select Export To Excel as shown below.
How to export a survey to a spreadsheet?
U can use the export to spreadsheet option only on your default view of the list. (SP2013 & Online) Knowing that, you know you should now open your survey list from sharepoint designer and set one of the views as default.. Reload survey in your browser, 2-3 times (using the ctrl + f5) and the export option should appear again.
Is there a way to disable export to spreadsheet?
After seeing many posts concerning permission levels (untick client integration features use), i’m still unable to disable export to spreadsheet option from the action menu on a Survey.
The scenario has been recreated on my environment and the issue is that visitors/members can read other responses even when specified that they are not allowed to view them using the Export to Spreadsheet action. This occurs in all SharePoint environments and I’ve created the scenario in SharePoint Online (Office 365).
