To share records with Manual sharing in Lightning, first, go to the Record page and click on Sharing button. A Share popup will open where can select and search either User, Public Group, Role and Role and Subordinates. And we can also provide the Read-Only or Read/Write access.
Now the “Sharing” button is now available in Salesforce Lightning UI. Business users will now be able to share a record to a user or group of users as like before in salesforce classic UI.
Where is the share button in lightning experience?
Clicking the button takes you to a tabbed view of existing sharing (tab 1) or the option to create new shares to users or groups. How to get the detail page button in Lightning?
Just dragging the button into “Salesforce1 and Lightning Experience Actions” will make it to appear on lightning experience detail page. I have addred ‘Clone with Related’ button to “Salesforce1 & Lighning actions” for all page layouts.
The Salesforce Classic has Sharing Button on record pages that gives you the ability to manually share the record whereas it is not available in Lightning. In above image, “pdf” is one of the detail page buttons. If you select “Salesforce1 & Lighning actions” on left side, you can see “pdf” button also present on right side. Just dragging the button into “Salesforce1 and Lightning Experience Actions” will make it to appear on lightning experience detail page. May 10, 2017
