The keys work on os x, but not on windows. No, I just bought the keyboard a few days ago but they never worked on windows; Buy Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad for Mac in Silver – Apple I had the old wired one before which did work. Right now I’m using two keyboards- the old and the new one.
