How do I unlock a protected sheet in Google Sheets?
Click the “Tools” menu, select “Protect Document,” and then click “Sheet” to unlock the spreadsheet.

How do you unprotect a spreadsheet in Excel?

Just right click on the sheet tab at the bottom and select “Protect Sheet” Then select “Except Certain Cells”. You can then input the ranges you want to allow them to edit and that protection transfers when you “Make a copy” of the Workbook. Vs. protecting individual ranges and the protection does not transfer when copied.
