How do you add material to a mesh?
Select the part of the mesh you want to add the material to:
- Click the “+” icon on the right side of “material” shown in the image below to create a new material. Let’s give the new material a green color.
- And you’re done!
- *_Note that when using this method there can be a sharp contrast between the two materials._
How do I apply material to object in Blender?
In the Object Material Slots box, click the Plus to create a new slot, and while this is still active, click on the second material in the Available Materials list. Click the Assign button, and the second material will appear on the selected object faces.

Why are meshes able to use parent brick material?
If Roblox is able to allow meshes to use the parent brick’s material, it would give me the ability to address the inconvenient, ugly issue in my game and I believe that many other users would benefit from it as well, since they wouldn’t have to use a texture to replicate the look of a brick material.
