How do you build nCloth in Maya?
In the scene view, select the polygon mesh you want to make nCloth. In the FX menu set, select nCloth > Create nCloth > . The Create nCloth Options window appears.
What are the other uses of Maya Cloth?
nCloth is a fast and stable dynamic cloth solution that uses a system of linked particles to simulate a wide variety of dynamic polygon surfaces. For example, nCloth is flexible enough to simulate all the following surfaces: fabric clothing, inflating balloons, shattering surfaces, and deformable objects.
What’s the problem with cloth simulation in Blender?
The problem is that whenever I run the cloth simulation, the clothes either fall right off or seem to burst like a balloon (pardon the pun). I didn’t even rig the character yet. I tried to pin at the neck and the shoulders and the hips (the shirt and pants are one object but don’t touch). The pins don’t seem to work at all.
Why does collision push the cloth away from the model?
From the looks of the sleeves, collision is trying to push the cloth quite a ways away from the model, relative to the model’s scale. You’ll probably have to adjust both the collision object parameters and the Cloth Collision parameters so the cloth isn’t “puffed out” so much by the collision.
Why are cloth meshes so low in density?
Last, it looks like your cloth mesh is pretty low-density (aka low poly count). While cloth meshes don’t have to be really high density, they usually benefit from having more loops than your model seems to have, as this allows the cloth to flex more and respond to collision more accurately.
Can a cloth Sim explode without baking it?
“Exploding” cloth can also result from frame-jumping without baking the sim first. Once everything else is squared away (yeah, I know, lots to consider 8-\\ ), bake your cloth sim if you want to jump from frame to frame, such as clicking on the Timeline.
