How do you check communication between two VLANs?
The simplest way to enable routing between the two VLANs to simply connect an additional port from each VLAN into a Router. The Router doesn’t know that it has two connections to the same switch — nor does it need to. The Router operates like normal when routing packets between two networks.

Do you need a DHCP server for multiple VLANs?
When working with multiple VLANs, a DHCP server will need to have scopes for each VLAN (unless static addresses are used). The built in DHCP server on the X1018 and AC88U are very basic DHCP servers. You may be able to get them configured for multiple scopes, if not, a dedicated DHCP server will need to be deployed on the network.
Can a router Ping from one LAN to another?
If your router has an address on each of your 5 lans, then pinging one is the same as pinging any other of them – it’s all the same appliance. That’s pretty standard. A ping can fail on any of the many steps it takes to get here and back.
Do you need PVID for two VLANs?
