How do you control a relay with NodeMCU?
CIRCUIT CONNECTION
- Attach NodeMCU on Breadboard.
- Connect VCC of Relay with Pin 3.3V of NodeMCU.
- Connect GND of Relay with GND of NodeMCU.
- Connect Pin Signal of Relay with Pin D7 (GPIO 13) of NodeMCU.
- Connect one terminal of Bulb (Blue Wire) with Pin NC (Normally Close) of Relay.
How can I control my internet light?
IoT project of controlling home light using WiFi Node MCU, and Relay module
- Wi-Fi Node MCU ESP8266.
- Standard USB cable to connect Node MCU.
- 4 Channel Relay module (5V)
- Jumper wires female to female.
- Home Light (Bulb)
- Bulb holder.
- Wire.
- AC 220v/120v home appliances or 9v Hi-Walt Battery.
How to control a relay with the ESP32?
The code to control a relay with the ESP32 is as simple as controlling an LED or any other output. In this example, as we’re using a normally open configuration, we need to send a LOW signal to let the current flow, and a HIGH signal to stop the current flow.
How to control a 5V relay board with an ESP8266?
I want to control an 5V relay board with an ESP8266 (which operates on 3.3V). Schematic of the board: IN2 is normally on 5V and must be pulled to 0V for enabling the relay.
What kind of power supply do I need for Arduino relay?
When we use an ESP8266 or ESP32 microcontroller with an operation voltage of 3.3V, we have to use the VIN or 5V output from the USB connection as power supply for the relay module and power the ESP8266 or ESP32 board via USB. The following picture shows the wiring between the most used Arduino, ESP8266 and ESP32 microcontroller and a relay module.
Can a GPIO relay be connected to the ESP8266?
You can connect this directly to an output pin of the ESP8266. There is no need for opto-isolators or extra transistors. This is probably going to work for you. It is similar to your second circuit. When the GPIO is high, it turns on the transistor which activates the relay.
