There is a test method called the four-wire (Kelvin sensing) connection method which is a method to help measure a low resistance value. These measurements can be made using a DMM, micro-ohmmeter, or a separate current source and voltmeter.

When you need to measure very small resistances use a?
When measuring small resistances, a common technique is to force a known current and then measure the voltage across the Device Under Test (DUT–see Figure 1 below). This is in accordance with Ohm’s Law since you’re using the current and voltage to determine the resistance.
