How do you move an object freely in InDesign?

- Choose the Selection tool in the Tools panel.
- Click the object you want to move. A bounding box with eight handles appears around the object.
- Position the Selection tool on the edges of the bounding box (but not on the handles of the bounding box).
- Drag to move the object.
How do I remove a shape from a border in InDesign?

Select or direct-select the object or frame. In the Transform panel, click in the Scale X Percentage or Scale Y Percentage box. Press the Up or Down Arrow Keys to scale the object by 1% increments. By pressing the Shift key at the same time as the arrow keys you can scale the object by increments of 10%.
Why does my text box have a border InDesign?
It sounds like you might have a stroke set by default. Go to the Stroke section and be sure that the color is set to None and the weight to 0. If it’s already set that way, the stroke is an override and will need to be removed manually.
How do I remove a page border?
Go to Design > Page Borders. In the Borders and Shading box, on the Page Border tab, select the arrow next to Apply to and choose the page (or pages) you want to remove the border from. Under Setting, select None, and then select OK.
