How do you remove an IKEA plastic screw lock?
First make sure that it is not in a locked position (ie remove or lift the bolt attached to the side if any). Then simply screw a screw into the X-area of the fastener from outside, just 1-2 mm so that the screw kind of locks on to the fastener. Then you can wiggle it out.
Do camlock fittings leak?
If swaged, this can result in permanent damage to the hose where larger shank serrations will cut into the inner wall of the hose. This results in leakage and/or permanent hose failure. Note: Cam & Groove couplings must never be used for steam or compressed air applications.

How do I drill holes for ” Cam nuts “?
You’d want to use a spade bit of the appropriate size for the nut. While not completely necessary, using a drill press will help get a consistent depth and angle. If you will need to disassemble your furniture then they are a good choice but definitely not as strong as a permanent joint.
How big of a hole do you drill for a cam lock post?
Use the 3/16″ bit to drill holes for the posts to screw into. The depth isn’t terribly important as long as it’s deep enough for the post to screw in securely up to the shoulder of the thread.
What’s the difference between a cam bolt and a cam nut?

For this project, three bits are needed: 3/16″ and 5/16″ in a twist or brad pointed bit and a 5/8″ Forstner bit. Use the 3/16″ bit to drill holes for the posts to screw into.
