How do you update a DECALmachine?

- with Blender closed, navigate to Blender’s addons folder.
- find DECALmachine, and copy the DECALmachine/assets/Decals folder to a safe location to backup your existing decals.
- remove the DECALmachine folder.
- in your Downloads location, extract the DECALmachine_2.4.0.zip file.

Do you need PIL to use decalmachine?
PIL is not required for basic DECALmachine usage, so for using and working with decals that are supplied with DECALmachine or for 3rd party decal packs, that support DECALmachine. It is an image manipulation python module, used for decal creation and export, as well as for updating legacy decal assets (from previous versions of DECALmachine).
Are there any new decal packs coming out?
2 new Decal Packs have been added to the decal resources section, check them out: Blender 2.92 had its stable release this week, and so DECALmachine 2.2 should be working fine with it based on some limited testing. If you come across any issues, please report them.

Can you install decalmachine on a second computer?
If you have a second computer with web access and with the same OS as your workstation, you can install DECALmachine and PIL on the second computer, then copy the PIL installation over to the one without web access, and with some luck, it will work fine.
