How does painter bake produce black normal map?

The picture is a fresh scene with fresh import of both one of the objs and the low poly FBX. For the low poly, all of the pieces are separate meshes that are exported as a single FBX, which from what I understand is the correct way to do it to use the match by name.

Why is my texture bake always black in Photoshop?

Why does my normal map make my material black?

If you were to combine normal maps with “true” displacement, you can only choose between world and object space. This is probably because your normals are not pointing in the right direction. Tangent space normal maps rely on the surface normal in the approximation,so if the normals are not right the material won’t work.

Why are there black spots in my Blender map?

It is about as simple a process as it can be as long as a few steps are followed: – export .fbx – low-poly has smoothing groups checked and has already been triangulated. Tangents&Bi-Normals unchecked (SP will look after this – see next step)
