Where to find custom search results in SharePoint?
Once set, the custom search results page is displayed when you search using the Microsoft Search box that appears in the navigation bar on top of the page and is used when you enter search from site pages or the home page of the site. It is not used when you are searching within a list, library, or the site contents page.
In the Protocol section, select Remote SharePoint. In the Remote Service URL section, enter the address of the root site collection in SharePoint in Microsoft 365 that you want to get search results from, such as https://adventure-works.sharepoint.com. In the Type section, select SharePoint Search Results.
Why does Microsoft Teams not support content search?
Because each private channel has its own SharePoint site collection that’s separate from the parent team site, files in a private channel are managed independently of the parent team. Teams doesn’t support content search of a single channel, so the whole team must be searched.
How to set up Microsoft Search in SharePoint?
Follow the guidelines to set up Microsoft Search. For a better search experience, influence your organization to try modern instead of classic sites. To learn more, see SharePoint classic and modern experiences. Teach your users to search from the SharePoint start page instead of from the classic Search Center.
