How does the Sentinel Hub work in WMS?
The Sentinel Hub WMS service conforms to the WMS standard. It not only provides access to Sentinel-2’s 13 unprocessed bands (B01 through B12 – with B8A following B08) but also to processed products such as true color imagery and NDVI. Access to the service is done via a custom server instance URL which will be provided to you upon registration.
How to access Sentinel-2 L2a scene classification layer?
You can still navigate to the SCL layer opening it as a zipped file, e.g. prepending the filename with /vsizip/ and then providing the full path within the archive. Oddly, I had an outdated GDAL 2.4.3 version where this was an issue. It has been resolved in GDAL 3.1.0.
When do I get results from WMS Sentinel?
(when REQUEST = GetMap or GetFeatureInfo) The time or time range for which to return the results, in ISO8601 format (year-month-dateThours:minutes:seconds, for example: 2016-01-01T10:05:23Z). When a single time is specified the service will return data until the specified time.
Which is version of WMS does the service support?
The service supports standard WMS requests: GetMap, GetCapabilities, GetFeatureInfo, and also some custom requests. Supported WMS versions are 1.1.1 and 1.3.0.
Which is an example of a WMS url?
Examples: “TIME=2016-01-01T10:05:23Z”, “TIME=2016-01-01/2016-02-01”. In addition to the standard WMS URL parameters, the WMS service also supports many custom URL parameters. Which is the best image format for WMS?
Supported WMS versions are 1.1.1 and 1.3.0. The WMS (Web Map Service) service output image type can be a 1 or 3 component 8-bit PNG or JPEG; alternatively also an n-component 8 or 16-bit TIFF. Use the proper type when setting the “FORMAT” parameter.
Is the Sentinel 2 data available to the public?
All Sentinel-2 data products are provided free of charge to all data users, including the general public, and scientific and commercial users under the terms and conditions prescribed by the European Commission’s Copernicus Programme. Where can I find the USGS Sentinel 2 collection?
EarthExplorer , USGS Global Visualization Viewer (GloVis), or the Sentinel2Look Viewer can be used to search, preview, and download Sentinel-2 data. The collection is located under the Sentinel category in EarthExplorer. The current USGS Sentinel-2 archive is only a partial representation of all available acquisitions from ESA.
