How does XRAY work in Jira?
Xray is an app that seamlessly integrates with Jira. When you install that app, you’ll have 7 new Jira issue types that you can use to maximize your testing activities. Because Xray uses issue types for mapping test concepts, you can organize your projects to best suit your organizational needs.
How do I enable X ray in Jira?
Within a Jira project, select Project Settings, then select Xray Settings, then select Test Coverage. This enables you to update the Coverable Issue Types in that Jira project.

You have two options to configure an existing project for Testing with Xray: Adding Default Xray Schemes to the Project Modifying your Current Project Schemes Xray provides default configuration schemes that you can directly associate with your project.
Is it possible to add Xray issue types?
The problem is that is not possible to add the x-ray issues type on the project, so this blocks me to create a test coverage for my tasks. Is it possible or not yet?
