How far apart should pla be?
A general recommendation is to place tomato plants about 18-24 inches apart, but plant spacing actually depends a lot on the type of tomato variety you’re planting.
Is 20% infill strong enough?
0-20%: Non-functional parts: For pieces that are not functional or do not need to withstand force, such as a display model or presentation prototypes, 10-20% infill is sufficient. In some cases, no infill is a viable option if there are no large flat surfaces on the top of the print.
Is 50% infill too much?
Functional prints need to be strong. Therefore, we recommend using a higher infill: more than 50% (don’t be afraid of going as high as 100%). This value will result in a fairly quick print and won’t consume that much filament at all. Models printed with this range of density will be lightweight and not very strong.
Does infill pattern matter at 100%?
The obvious answer here is that 100% infill will be the strongest infill percentage, but there is more to it. We have to balance out printing time and material with part strength. The average infill density that 3D printer users apply is 20%, also being the default in many slicer programs.
Why is there a gap between the infill and walls?
When I’m printing with my Chromatik filament white, 1.75 mm in diameter, I observe a gap between the infill and the walls (see picture). Everywhere on the web I can find explanations for this kind of problem (apparently it’s the symptom of loose belts), but I have this problem for this filament only.
Is there a gap between infill and outer wall in Cura?
It is a known issue (if you have rules out belt slack and good enough infill/overlap) with cura and slic3r. less so with cura, more so with previous releases of slic3r.
Why are there gaps between 3D printing walls?
It is a commonly encountered problem when it comes to 3D printing. This is caused when the outer case of the 3D model does not hold together with the interior of the model often known as the infill. This is something that can be a nightmare if you don’t know what is going on.
What makes the bond between wall and infill?
The more the infill overlaps with the innermost perimeter the better the bond between the two sections. The time for the outline to bond with the infill is an important factor that determines the bond strength.
