How fast does a servo spin?
In a normal position servo, 1mS will make it move from wherever it was to one end of its travel, at the fastest the servo can manage. 2mS will make it move to the other end. If you step between 1 and 2mS length pulses, then it will do this as fast as it can.
How many degrees can a servo rotate?
180°
A servo motor is a DC motor integrated with a gear train, a shaft encoder, and some control logic so that it is easier to use. They have a limited rotation, typically 180°.
How does the turn time of a servo vary?
Another parameter that varies from servo to servo is the turn rate. This is the time it takes from the servo to change from one position to another. The worst case turning time is when the servo is holding at the minimum rotation and it is commanded to go to maximum rotation. This can take several seconds on very high torque servos.
Do you have to change delay on sweeping servo?
Do I have to change something elese in the code (like delay time) so it whould go 90 degrees up and then 90 down? No you don’t have to change any time delay in order to get it rotating by 90 degrees, delay would just change the speed of rotation of the servo.
How can I Make my servo go 180 degrees?
I have found this code that makes servo go 180 and back, but when I switch 180 degrees with 90, which is what I need, my servo doesn’t do that (I tried the code in Arduino simulator). Do I have to change something elese in the code (like delay time) so it whould go 90 degrees up and then 90 down?
How can I increase the rotation of my Hitec servo?
If you are using Hitec digital servos, you simply want to purchase the hand-held programmer to increase the rotation. If you have a Hitec or Futaba analog servo that only offers 90° of rotation, the amount of rotation can sometimes be increased to 180° by performing a simple modification.
