How is database security implemented?
Encrypting all database activity, consider password to secure and encoding the entire database backup so that if the backup data is lost or stolen it is difficult to get to the information. Audit the data access and control the offline copies of it. Backup of the database should be set to avoid disasters.
How to send passwords safely
- Communicate passwords verbally, either in person or over the phone.
- Communicate passwords through encrypted emails. Sending passwords via unencrypted emails is never recommended.
- Send passwords in a password vault file such as KeePass.
What is password sharing?
A recent study into password sharing revealed that about 35 percent of Netflix users share their passwords with one another. It is common in other streaming services as well. Naturally, this does not bode too well for the service because it eats into their bottom line.
