How is the Cache object used in X-particles?
The Cache object is used to cache the X-Particles system. The cache data is held in tags on each object which has been cached. This makes it a simple matter to exclude objects from caching if desired. Since multiple cache tags can exist on each object, you can set up multiple caches and switch between them.
How does caching speed up the cache process?
This can speed up the caching process if you have a lot of particles, because the emitter doesn’t have to spend time drawing them. There are four options: The display appears as normal. No particles are drawn but any generated objects associated with them are shown.
Can you edit particles baked to memory in Blender?
Only Frames Baked to Memory are Editable! If you cannot edit the particles, check that you are not baking to a Disk Cache. Create a Hair particle system. Give it an initial velocity in the Normal direction. Create a simulation. Check the Hair Dynamics box.
How do you remove a particle path in Blender?

Internal caching is a little more convenient – you can give a single file to a friend or co-worker without having to send all the cache files as well – but is recommended only for short, test scenes with few objects. With this setting you can control the screen display when the cache is being built (not on playback).
