How secure is Realvnc?
VNC Connect is secure out-of-the-box. All connections are encrypted end-to-end, and by default remote computers are protected by a password (Home subscriptions) or by system login credentials (Professional and Enterprise subscriptions).

VNC Connect uses use the latest commercial version of the RFB protocol, originally defined as RFC 6143. The current commercial version of the RFB protocol as used in VNC Connect adds a significant number of security, performance and functionality improvements over the protocol described in RFC6143.

Why is my VNC server using System authentication?
If you have a Professional or Enterprise subscription, then by default VNC Server is set to use system authentication. This means that VNC Viewer users can authenticate to VNC Server using the same credentials they normally use to log on to their user account on the VNC Server computer.
How long does a RealVNC VNC license last?
