How to create a bathymetric survey for a river?
I have bathymetric survey data in the form of XYZ. X and Y are coordinates while Z is river bed level (elevation) from a datum. These are about 14000 irregularly located points within a river. Now I I have a baselayer (.shp file), with bathymetric contours.
How big is the bathymetry data for lidar?
I have bathymetry data (1 huge data) = SRTM/DEM/FGDBRaster (0,9818m resolution pixel, floating, 32 bit, 45 GB size) and an alternative data (split into small pieces data) = same data but with 1m LiDAR returns over water bodies?
Where can I get bathymetric data for a hydraulic model?
I downloaded bathymetric data from the NOAA Bathymetric Data Viewer website: https://maps.ngdc.noaa.gov/viewers/bathymetry/ I’ve tried to import and view several .bag files from this website within I have multiple surveyed cross-sections of river channels and need to convert this data into 3D polylines (shapefile) for use in a hydraulic model.
How are layers used to represent a quantity?
Features have numerical attributes, which can be used to display layers to show quantities. The numerical measures used in your layer display might represent the following: There are several methods with which you can represent quantity on a map—for example, using colors, graduated symbols, proportional symbols, dot densities, or charts.
How is the BOEM deepwater bathymetry grid built?
Construction of the grid began by importing 200 individual seafloor horizons into geophysical 3D visualization software. Most of the GOM has multiple, overlapping surveys of various vintages, so in an iterative method we compared horizons to each other in areas where surveys overlap.
How tall is the bathymetry in the Gulf of Mexico?
Bathymetry ranges from –130 to –11,087 ft (–40 to –3,379 m) and includes vertically exaggerated slope-rendered hillshade files to illustrate seafloor features.
