Authorization & Permissions When creating a new custom button, we should be able to limit who can see it. For buttons on page layouts, this is not a problem because we can assign page layouts to profiles. However, for buttons on views, search results and tags we need to have this functionality.
When to assign permissions with a sensitivity label?
Assign permissions now, so that you determine exactly which users get which permissions to content with that label. Let users assign permissions when they apply the label to content. This way, you can allow people in your organization some flexibility that they might need to collaborate and get their work done.
How to set visibility on a product category?
To configure visibility on a per product category basis: Go to: WooCommerce > Products > Categories. Select Show to Specific Roles. Once selected, a new section appears, which allows you to tick the boxes of user roles that can see products in the category. Save changes.

Buttons don’t have a corresponding “button-level” security. There are at least three ways to get around this: Write a Visualforce page that overrides your default layout. Have that Visualforce page determine if the button should be rendered. Use page layouts and assign different layouts by profile.
Can a custom button be assigned to a profile?
For buttons on page layouts, this is not a problem because we can assign page layouts to profiles. However, for buttons on views, search results and tags we need to have this functionality. Without it we won’t be able to fully leverage any of the custom button features in these locations.
Create a “Detail Page Button”. They come on the page layouts. List Button comes in Account >> Search Layout >> List Views. thanks, that does make it appear, but it forces me to put the button on the detail area of the account.
