How to query taxonomy field by term Id?
I would like to know if there is any difference in querying the taxonomy field by term id vs term label. I can either query by owstaxidfieldname like owstaxidfieldname:#guid. But this requires term id. Other way is to use the mapped property of ows_fieldname and query using the term label.
Also I had some luck using the “SharePoint 2013 Search Query Tool”. If the taxonomy fields on the list items do not appear correctly in the crawled content, it could be some error in the hidden TaxCatchAll field. Also, if the “Taxonomy Update Scheduler job” fails or is not running the crawler ist not able to crawl the taxonomy “values” on the item.
