How to solve off grid error in altium?
For anyone with this problem I suggest:
- As Robert said, change grid to 50 or 100 mil grid.
- run validate(compile) project again.
- Pay attention to the change of units in Messages Panel from mm to mils.
- if not changed ,go to schematic properties and set unit to mm and then again mils.

Where is the off grid pin message on Altium?
I’m always got ‘off grid pin’ message on my schematic. The pin on the symbol is built by me, using a component wizard. I already set my units on the library and schematic on same units. I have tried to move the pin on my own too, and the message is still there. Anyone can help me?
Why do I need to make my own Altium library?
If the problem persists (just with different off-grid pins this time) then chances are you have some components created on a metric grid and some created on a standard grid. This is one of the reasons why I recommend ALWAYS making your own libraries, rather than using third-party ones.
How to display compiler errors in Altium Designer?
If compiler errors and warnings are enabled for display on the schematic (enabled on the Schematic – Compiler page of the Preferences dialog ), an offending object will display a colored squiggle beneath it. Hovering over the object will display a pop-up hint that summarizes the violation.
How does the off grid object identifier work?
ObjectIdentifier identifies the specific object that is currently off-grid. The identifier is composed of the object’s type and its name/designator (e.g., Pin ). Location is the X,Y coordinates for the object’s electrical hotspot.
