How to use interrupt in STM32?
LAB Objectives
- Configure GPIO Output Pin & Input Pin Within CubeMX Tool.
- Configure the input pin to be an interrupt source on the rising edge.
- Toggle the output pin when an interrupt is detected within the ISR handler.
- Measure the interrupt response time between event and output change.
How many active GPIO interrupts are possible on the STM32?
Each STM32F4 device has 23 external interrupt or event sources. They are split into 2 sections.
What are internal interrupts?
An internal interrupt is a specific type of interrupt that is caused by instructions embedded in the execution instructions of a program or process.
What is EXTI line?
The EXTI controller provides interrupt and event generation, as well as the capability to wake up the processor from Sleep and Stop modes. These lines can wake up the processor from Sleep and Stop modes.
How many interrupts are there in stm32?
We will be presenting the features of this controller. The Nested Vectored Interrupt Controller embedded inside of the STM32L4 microcontroller provides up to 91 interrupt channels (on STM32L49x/4A6 devices), served with low latency. One of 16 priorities could be assigned to each interrupt source.
How many external interrupts does the STM32F4 have?
Each STM32F4 device has 23 external interrupt or event sources. They are split into 2 sections. First interrupt section is for external pins (P0 to P15) on each port, and other section is for other events, like RTC interrupt, Ethernet interrupt, USB interrupt and so on. October 1, 2014: Added external interrupts library.
How to generate timer on STM32F4 Discovery Board?
In this tutorial, I will share how to generate interrupt every given interval using timer on STM32F4 Discovery board. For example project, we will make orange LED toggle every 500ms interval using TIM2. In the main program we will toggle blue LED every 2500ms (blue LED toggling will not using timer interrupt, but just use delay function).
Can you use two pins at the same time in STM32F4?
They are multiplexed to one line. IMPORTANT: You can not use two pins on one line simultaneously: PA0 and PB0 and PC0 and so on, are connected to Line0, so you can use only one pin at one time to handle interrupt from there. PA0 and PA5 are connected to different lines, they can be used at the same time.
How to enable UART 1 NVIC interrupt in stmcubemx?
I’ve enabled the UART 1 NVIC interrupt in STMCubeMX and stm32f4xx_it.c contains the IRQ handler which I’ve added my own user handler to: I’ve seen lot’s of commentary about UART_Receive_IT () – but I suspect this is based on older versions of HAL due to UART_Receive_IT () being defined in stm32f4xx_hal_uart.c
