When using Control or Observe to access a Mac using the Screen Sharing or Remote Management service, all data is encrypted for transit using the AES with a 128-bit shared key that was derived during screen sharing authentication.

How do I open my screen to someone else on my Mac?
If you want to open your screen to VNC users who have the password to your session, click the Computer Settings button. You’ll need to activate your screen sharing session for other Macs to enter it. The other Mac will also need to know your computer’s name and network address.
