Is BLDC a 3 phase?
A brushless DC (BLDC) motor is a rotating electric machine, where the stator is a classic 3-phase stator like that of an induction motor, and the rotor has surface-mounted permanent magnets; see Figure 2-1.

In a brushed DC motor, the rotor spins 180-degrees when an electric current is run to the armature. In brushless DC motors, the permanent magnets are on the rotor, and the electromagnets are on the stator.
