Is it possible to import PDF into qgis3?
Useful to know QGIS3 can directly import pdf as raster, I’ve previously been converting to dxf with inkscape. I suspect the QGIS import is part of the problem though, as it seems to assign coordinates down and right from the top left of the page, rather than up and right from the bottom left of the page as you would expect.
How do you add a raster layer in QGIS?
QGIS makes use of georeference information inside the raster layer (e.g., GeoTiff) or in an appropriate world file to properly display the data. Raster layers are loaded either by clicking on the Add Raster Layer icon or by selecting the Layer ‣ Add Raster Layer menu option.
How is the geocoded data used in QGIS?
They are geocoded by pixel resolution and the x/y coordinate of a corner pixel of the raster layer. This allows QGIS to position the data correctly in the map canvas. QGIS makes use of georeference information inside the raster layer (e.g., GeoTiff) or in an appropriate world file to properly display the data.
How do you set raster properties on a map?

How to shift a raster in QGIS?
An equivalent of ArcGIS’ Shift tool would be the best option. I know I can edit the world file that comes along with the raster to do this, but some raster formats (like geotiff) contain their metadata inside their binary format. I just used this in R and it solved the problem.
Is it easy to georeference vector layers in QGIS?
Someone had a very similar problem here https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/72674/georeference-vector-svg-dxf-linework In Manifold it is quite easy as you can georeference vector layers with control points the same way as raster layers, but it doesn’t look like this is easy in QGIS
How to translate ( reposition ) a.tif raster layer?
How to translate (reposition) a .tif raster layer? I’m starting to use QGIS for my thesis (environmental physics) and have to admit I’m pretty ignorant about it – I’ve always used Mathematica or Matlab. My problem is: I have a raster layer, in .tif format, which is misplaced (I need to move it south and west by 100m).
