Can a Mininova be used as a DAW?
The Mininova does not have an onboard audio interface, so if you’d like to record your Mininova’s audio to your DAW, you’ll need to plug the audio outputs into an external audio interface or your computer’s line input.

I have checked the Control Panel>Sound Settings – see this screen shot: You will see that the -Mic in- says “Not plugged in” even tho’ a jack (2 section) is in the socket. I have had no problems inserting a speaker jack (3 section) into the combined audio jack and listening to sound from the laptop.
